THE HACKETT FAMILY

Hello all.  My wife, Elizabeth, and I will be headed to Ireland on Friday for a week.

Having the family book, we can see the lineage starting with Jacob and Elizabeth Moore.  However, we would like to understand how the line continues back through Ireland. 

If I am tracking this correctly, Jacob's father was Samuel Hackett, also born in NJ.  Samuel's father would have been John Hackett (1728), born in Ireland and married to Elizabeth Reading in 1755, in Hunterdon County, NJ, where he was a justice of the peace. 

I don't know how to trace it back from there.  Any help would be most appreciated.
